The wrench joint is made in cast iron and thanks to a synthetic painting is resistant to decay. It is the same as the last part of the extension operating device Art. 498. It’s a good alternative to the extension when the gate valve is near the ground, so the wedge is easily reachable by the operator with the wrench. The wrench joint fits to the stem by pressure. Using it the gate valve stem could be manipulated with any universal wrench.

The wrench for gate valve operating device is in steel painted in a black synthetic paint that prevents decay.
The wrench is suited to open and close the gate valve.
It transfer the rotative movement to the wedge of the gate valve.

ART. 498 EXTENSION OPERATING DEVICE FOR GATE VALVE: The extension is in steel painted with synthetic black paint that prevents from decay. The far end of the wrench is in cast iron, also painted with the same synthetic paint.
The extension – sold together with the protective cover – applies when a gate valve is below the ground and the operator can’t operate directly to the stem.
The fare end is square and its dimensions belong to the stem of the gate valve. Total weight art. 498+499 Kg. 3,5
